We are excited to introduce Triad Stage’s 2019 Summer Camp offerings! Our camps are week-long and processed-based so students get a chance to explore the art form of theatre, hone their performance and design skills, meet new friends, and have a great time!
Triad Stage works within a set of core values including excellence, artistic risk, inclusion, and collaboration, and we have designed our summer camps to embody these values just as our mainstage productions do. For these reason, all of our camps offer the following:
Opportunities for students with various levels of experience to engage in skill-building and exploration in a supportive environment.
Professional teaching artists who work in both theatre and education.
Small class sizes that allow for individualized instruction.
Curriculum that allows students to develop skills in performance while simultaneously building confidence, public speaking abilities, leadership skills, and collaborative possibilities.
General Camp & Pricing Information
All camps run 9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday. All camps cost $250 for the week. Some scholarship assistance is available (please see below for more scholarship information).
Before and after-care is available for additional cost. These options are below, and you may choose any combination:
Before Care (8:00am-9:00am): $40 per week
After Care (4:00pm-5:30pm): $60 per week
Both Before and After: $90 per week
If the camp you had intended to register for is full, please send an email to summercamp@triadstage.org with "Summer Camp Waitlist" in the subject line. Include your name and email address, your child's name and grade level, and the camp that you had hoped to register for. We will add you to the waitlist, and you will be notified if a slot in that camp becomes available.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and based on need. Each camp has one full tuition and one half tuition scholarship available. Students applying for scholarships must qualify for free and reduced lunch benefits, whether or not they receive these benefits. You can find more information about free and reduced lunch qualifications here.
If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please fill out the Scholarship Application by clicking "Apply for a Scholarship". You will hear from Triad Stage staff members within one week of your application, and, if you are approved, you will register your child at that time.

Please remember to review the Camp Handbook before the first day of camp. This includes important information about cancellations, student expectations, and the daily camp schedule. Additionally, there is an acknowledgment form in the Handbook that both you and your child will need to sign and return no later than the first day of camp. You can scan this form and send it to summercamp@triadstage.org, or you can mail it to Triad Stage c/o Learning Department 232 S. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27410. While you can return it on the first day of camp, we recommend that you return it earlier, as your child will not be able to begin camp until we have this acknowledgment on file.
Additionally, please remember that our cancellation policy will allow for a refund up to two weeks in advance of the camp's first day. This means that we must have received an email (to summercamp@triadstage.org) by 11:59pm the SUNDAY a full two weeks before the first day of camps. Cancellations after this time will not receive a refund.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at summercamp@triadstage.org.
